How it started

A few friends started DNLH after watching people they care about lose hours, money and sleep trying to find a straight answer. Between us we have served in the military, worked in law, run operations, and built programs at nonprofits. We brought the same habits here: check the source, write it plainly, and say so when we do not know.

What DNLH is, and what it is not

DNLH points you to official information and real organizations, and helps you ask good questions when you call. It is not a law office, a clinic or a government agency. We do not take cases, decide who qualifies for anything or keep files on anyone.

How we check what we publish

Every page lists its sources and the date we checked them. Legal experience on our team shapes how carefully we point to qualified help, but it does not mean an attorney has reviewed every page. When a question needs a lawyer, a doctor or a counselor, the page says so and shows where to find one.

What we believe

We believe in doing right by one another: respecting different cultures and beliefs, treating people fairly and making useful information easier to find. You do not need to share our background or beliefs to belong here.

How we are growing

We are a small group. We add pages only when we can check them, fix mistakes when we find them, and make only the promises we can keep.
