What happened notes
For each event:
- Date and time
- Where it happened
- Who did it, and their job
- What they said or did, in their words if I remember them
- Who saw or heard it
- How it affected my job: pay, hours, schedule, promotion, firing
- Whether I reported it, to whom, and their answer
- Proof I saved: emails, texts, photos, reviews
Deadlines
- CRD: usually 3 years from the event
- EEOC: 300 days in California
Keep this on your own phone or paper. Do not write your immigration status on it.
