What happened (write as soon as you can)
- Date, time and place
- Who did it, and what they said and did
- Who saw it
- Any threats about immigration, debt, family or leaving
Proof (copies, kept away from work)
- Photos of injuries and medical records
- The job ad, recruiter messages, contract or promises
- Pay stubs or payment records
- Texts, voicemails, emails
Next steps
- Workers' comp claim form requested, with date
- Clinic or lawyer contacted, with date
- Deadlines noted: assault 2 years, fraud 3 years from discovery
