• Copy of abuser's birth certificate, passport, naturalization certificate or green card
• If none: abuser's full name, birth date, birthplace, any numbers I know

Relationship:

• Marriage certificate (or my birth certificate if I am the child)
• Proof all earlier marriages ended (both of us)
• Divorce papers, if divorced (date: ________; file within 2 years)
• Birth certificates of my children on the petition

Abuse:

• Police reports, 911 records
• Restraining order and court papers
• Medical, counseling, shelter records
• Photos, texts, emails, voicemails
• Statements from witnesses

Living together and living in the U.S. now:

• Leases, bills, mail, bank statements with both names
• Current proof I live in the U.S.

Good moral character:

• My signed statement
• California DOJ Visa/Immigration record (BCIA 8016 VISA)
• Records from other states or countries where I lived 6+ months in the last 3 years
• Letters from people who know me

Good faith marriage (spouses):

• Joint accounts, leases, taxes, insurance
• Photos over time, cards, messages
• Statements from people who knew us as a couple
