Bring (originals plus one copy)
- Interview appointment letter
- Valid passport (and old passports)
- DS-260 confirmation page
- Two photos, if the embassy asks
- Birth certificate (certified) and translation
- Marriage certificate, and divorce or death records for past marriages
- Police certificates
- Court and prison records, if any, even if dismissed
- Military records, if any
- Sponsor's I-864, tax returns, proof of income; joint sponsor's too
- Proof of relationship (photos, messages, joint records)
- Approved I-601A notice, if I filed one
- Medical exam done with a panel physician (date: ________)
After the visa
- Pay USCIS Immigrant Fee ($235) online before travel
- Keep the sealed packet closed
- Travel before the visa expires (date: ________)
