Which aid form is mine?
Look at the student's status, not the parents'.
Use the FAFSA (studentaid.gov) if you are:
- A U.S. citizen, and my parents are citizens or green card holders
- A green card holder or other eligible noncitizen (including refugee, asylee or T visa), and my parents are not undocumented
Use the California Dream Act Application (dream.csac.ca.gov) if you are:
- Undocumented
- A DACA recipient (current or expired)
- A TPS holder
- A U visa holder
You may choose if you are:
- A U.S. citizen or green card holder with an undocumented parent. The FAFSA adds federal aid. The California Dream Act Application keeps your information with the state.
