Do I qualify for in state tuition? (AB 540)
Time in California schools (check one):
- 3 years full time (or the same amount part time) at California high school, adult school or community college, in any mix
- Or: 3 years of California high school credits, plus 3 years total at California elementary, middle or high schools
Something I finished in California (check one, before my first college term):
- California high school diploma, or a GED, HiSET or CHSPE
- Associate degree from a California community college
- Minimum transfer classes from a California community college to UC or Cal State
My status (check one):
- Undocumented, DACA, TPS, or another status that is not a temporary visa
- T or U visa: I will ask the residency office about my own path
- Student, visitor or other temporary visa: AB 540 does not apply to me
Next steps:
- I listed my schools with city and start and end dates
- I answered the AB 540 questions in the 2027 to 2028 CA Dream Act Application, or turned in my college's exemption form
- UC only: I turned in my Statement of Legal Residence by the campus deadline
