- I talked with someone I trust about the ITIN, if I was worried
- I have my ITIN (or my own Social Security number)
- I picked a business type: sole owner, LLC, corporation or co op
- I got my EIN free from irs.gov, if I need one. EIN: kept in a safe place
- I checked CalGOLD and my city for licenses and permits
- I opened a bank account in the business name
- I keep business money and personal money apart
- I save part of every payment for taxes
- Before hiring anyone, I talked with a business coach and a lawyer
