Teen job checklist
Before you start:
- Job offer with the business name and address
- Statement of Intent to Employ a Minor form from my school
- Form filled out by me and the employer, signed by my parent or guardian and the employer
- Permit to Employ and Work issued by the school, copy given to the employer
- I know my hour limits (see the table on this page)
- I know my pay: at least $16.90, or my city's higher rate
- Documents for Form I-9
Each week, write down:
- Days and hours worked
- Pay received and how (check, cash, app)
- Any task that felt unsafe
Every fall:
- Renew my permit within five days after school starts
