If someone is in danger right now: call 911. Say: "Mental health emergency. I'm asking for a CIT officer."
If they are thinking of suicide but safe this minute:
- Stay with them. Do not leave them alone.
- Ask: "Are you thinking about killing yourself? Do you have a plan?"
- Move guns, pills and alcohol out of reach.
- Call or text 988 together. Spanish: press 2, or text AYUDA.
- Bring in one more trusted adult.
- Check in tomorrow.
